Below are some nice overlooked unclaimed scholarships that are not publicized much at colleges that are worth looking into. Apply to them, because many could be easy scholarships to win with a large number of them passed out every year.

The American Radio Relay League ARRL Unclaimed Scholarships

The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) was founded in 1914 and is a non-commercial grouping of radio amateurs in the nation which is designed in supporting the awareness & growth of Amateur Radio throughout the world. They have educational programs for their members that keep them current in their professions. They have over eighty scholarship programs to apply for too!

ARRL Foundation Scholarship Program

The ARRL Foundation-administered unclaimed scholarships are for US citizens and radio amateurs and must be submitted online by January 31st every year. There are fluctuating dates on when they are due, so it is wise to check the website to be sure. They range from $500 to $5,000. Applicants can go to ARRL scholarships to see descriptions of (80) ARRL unclaimed scholarship programs. You can read through them to see which ones you seem to fit in order to apply.

There are two new unclaimed college scholarships recently introduced by ARRL.

The Helen Laughlin AM Mode Memorial Scholarship

This college scholarship is for women amateur radio operators to help pay for any college expense. Applicants need to be attending a four year university and have a General or higher Amateur Radio license and must be from the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The award is for $1,000.

The Atlanta Radio Club Scholarship

The Atlanta Radio Club Scholarship is another unclaimed college scholarship to be used on college cost and applicants must live in Georgia and must be enrolled in a four year college and have a Technician or higher Amateur Radio license. The award is for $500.

All applicants must be US citizens for all of the above.

Burger King Scholars Scholarships are Unclaimed

The Burger King Scholarship Program needs to be mentioned on a regular basis because it’s so good in so many ways. In 2016 the foundation awarded three million scholarships to 2,800 students. These unclaimed scholarships and grants range from $1,000 to $50,000 to be used to pay for college cost and post-secondary vocational/technical school. Students who win these awards are judged base on work experience, GPA, community service along with extracurricular activities. Applications can be filled out starting October, with a deadline in December. Mark your calendar.

All high school seniors can apply, even if you work for BK and spouses and children can apply too of employees. Students can apply every year and win up to a maximum $4,000 of BK unclaimed scholarships.

AHLEF Academic Unclaimed Scholarships

The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AHLEF) sponsors scholarships for those students enrolled in a hospitality management degree program. About $900,000 in obscure scholarships are awarded yearly for incoming freshman through graduate students. Some will be specifically awarded to minorities and current hotel employees and scholarship amounts range from $500 to $6,000. All in all, a few hundred awards will be doled out yearly which always increases a students chances of winning.

The AHLEF does not choose winners based only solely on GPA, or financial need. They look at personal traits outlined in the students essays, as well as work experience in hospitality, honor awards, outside/professional activities, along with academics. Winners will also get a free yearly subscription to the American Hotel & Lodging Association to help build your career. Students can start applying early in the year and will be announced on their website anytime after January 1st. Submission deadline is May 1st.

Lots of Unclaimed Club Scholarships Available

There are lots of club scholarships for those who are members of a club and even if you are not. Usually you just have to sign up with a particular club and then students can then apply to them.

Tall Clubs International Foundation Unclaimed Scholarships

Multiple club student scholarships are given out yearly of $1,000 by TCI. Also, many affiliate Tall Clubs of TCI have their own local scholarship programs as well and the TCI website can easily tell you if the local chapters do or not. The local winners will be eligible to compete for the scholarship awards at Tall Clubs International and by the non-profit Tall Clubs International Foundation. Requirements are all applicants must be entering the first year of college. Students can submit their applications from September to February 1st.

National Gardens Club Scholarships are Overlooked

If you love gardening and will be studying it in college; then look into these awards because these are truly unclaimed college scholarships because they are Incognito in most all college financial aids office’s. The National Garden Clubs (NGC) is a non-profit educational organization headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri USA alongside to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. They coordinate, support, organize
and distribute educational and school programs along with a variety of resources to support horticultural and environmental activities.

The NGC has (41) overlooked scholarships passed out yearly of $4,000 each. College Juniors and seniors along with graduate students seeking master degrees can apply, but sophomores can apply for their junior college year. Students must be attending an accredited college or university, US citizens, or a permanent legal resident, and be full time with a field of study related to gardening, horticulture, landscape design, environmental issues or floral design.

Key Club Unclaimed College Scholarships

Key Club is the club for high school students which is backed by Kiwanis International. Key Club strives to carry out the mission of Kiwanis which is serving the children of the world. They do this by being active in their communities like planing food drives, gather clothing for needy families, and park clean up activities on a regular basis. Leadership skills are learned by doing this as student progress to running regular meetings and holding elected positions at various levels; club, district & international levels.

The Key Club “Service Scholarships” are the most notable because they have over (70) unclaimed student awards given out yearly out of a total of $170,000. Students can apply online up through March 4th.

These are just a few of the vast array of club scholarships available on the market today, and students can usually find a club with an area of their interest to join.
