There are several $2,500 awards given through this scholarship for US and non-US citizens. In addition, there is a $25,000 grand prize given. To be eligible for this scholarship contest, students must demonstrate exceptional involvement in community service and volunteerism. Students must also have plans to enroll full-time in a two-year or four-year college.

The Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders is for a high school senior or current college student. The deadline to apply for this little known scholarship is December 31st. There is a $500 community college award and a $1,000 award for a four-year college student. Applicants must demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support. At least one parent must also be of Hispanic ancestry. Scholarship recipients must also be able to attend the Annual National USHLI Conference based in Chicago, Illinois.

The Elks San Francisco Lodge-Tom Schomburg Scholarship for Future Citizens is for a high school senior. The deadline to apply for this obscure scholarship is in early December. The award amount for this scholarship varies between $1,000 and $4,000.

The Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Scholarship is for prospective or current graduate students. The deadline to apply is December 1st. Award recipients will receive a stipend of $9,000 that can be used for art, architecture, dance, theater, urban regional planning. There is also a $20,000 award given for architectural design and history, art and design, theater, dance, instrumental or vocal music. In addition, there is a $20,000 award for any field of music. Preference is given for students who are under the age of 25.

The Princeton Prize in Race Relations is given to high school students in grades 9-12 whose efforts have had a positive and significant effect on race relations in their communities or schools. The deadline to apply for this unknown scholarship is January 31st. This scholarship has a value of $1,000.
