In a world where tuition and the cost of education keeps sky rocketing every other academic year, a lot of people and institutions have come to embrace the internet as a means to making sure that they will be able to get access to the education that they need in an affordable way.

This has since led to the rise and propagation of online learning, and distance learning programs conducted through the internet.

Are these programs unclaimed awards or are they lifetime scholarships?

The DiUlus Institute is one of the institutions that provide this kind of learning platform for students all over the world. From this institution you will get a free college education, more like a lifetime scholarship to study whichever course that you want to.

The institution has been around since the year 2003 and has since developed as a result of interactions and partnerships with other colleges and universities.

If Home schooling is recognized, why not free college tuition from lifetime scholarships?

This process works through the home schooling platform, enabling all interested parties to learn and become aware of the world around them.

One of the most notable things about this home schooling approach is that it is a model that has gained traction and success over the years and as a matter of fact it has been a success for more than 2 centuries in the United States.

Through this program, individuals (students) who wish to achieve the same goals that they would achieve by going to the conventional colleges and universities will be able to see their dreams come true.

The provision of free education at college level is one of the most encouraging things about this learning process, which a lot of students have come to learn to take advantage of.

How to get the most from these unclaimed lifetime scholarships

Of course you need a lot of dedication and self-discipline for you to be able to go through this learning process and make it out successfully, especially when you take into account the number of and the level of distractions that you can come across from time to time.

Even while going through this program, it is important not to lose sight of the fact that this institute is more of a guide. It is a guide through which you are able to find and meet your desired objectives. This is indeed because of the fact that the environment provides a means to accessing an education platform which is not restricted as the normal avenues.

Wherever you are, as long as you have the desire to learn you will be able to get the knowledge you want from institutions that are well-recognized all over the world. You will even be taught by some of the best educators the world knows to date.

Will Free Lifetime Scholarships and free tuition be wave of the future?

This education platform has enjoyed a significant growth experience over the years, and what started with a few institutions coming together to make education available to students all over the world soon turned into tens than hundreds of institutions and at the moment thousands of learning institutions all over the world are partnering to ensure that financial challenges do not hinder any strong-willed individual from accessing an education.

As a matter of fact, it is worth noting that an individual who makes good use of the things they learn and puts them into practice is much better in the job market than one who only has papers to boast from high-end institutions, and nothing practical to bring to the workplace.

All in all they are about the easiest scholarships we ever wrote about!

An Unclaimed Scholarship to Die For

The unclaimed scholarships sponsored from the ABFSE are to die for; because they are sponsored by American Board of Funeral Service Education.

Unclaimed Scholarship
An Unclaimed Scholarship to Die For

The unclaimed scholarships sponsored from the ABFSE are to die for; because they are sponsored by American Board of Funeral Service Education.

Yes; I had to mention it that way because they are pretty good educational scholarships which may be classified in the unclaimed scholarships category.

The competition for them will be small compared to larger well known scholarship programs such as the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarships; which doles out close to 200 scholarships every year and has tens of thousands applicants applying to them.

The ABFSE will not get that many applicants at all; for reasons you clearly can understand why. There is not too many students who would even consider going into this profession, so for those who are – you got to apply to these educational awards quickly – if you haven’t already.

About the  ABFSE  and their unclaimed scholarships

The ABFSE as described by their own words, “serves as the national academic accreditation agency for college and university programs in Funeral Service and Mortuary Science Education”. They go back as far as 1940, but became official in 1962.

*Both the US Department of Education & the Council on Higher Education Accreditation recognize the ABFSE as the only accredited agency for academic programs that prepare funeral service professionals.

There membership is comprised of 58 accredited institutions, the National Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, International Cemetery; Cremation and Funeral Association and many Funeral Service Institutions.

The ABFSE is an outstanding resource center for students wanting to get into Funeral service. They can guide you through the steps necessary to get started in this industry.

ABFSE Funeral scholarships

The unclaimed scholarships by ABFSE range from $500 to $2,500. Students can apply every year from March 1st to September 1st online making these programs easy scholarships to apply to. You simply go to there website and apply through their scholarship application form.

*Applying online is the best way to apply when it comes to educational awards because applying to these scholarships are fast and easy!

In order to apply, students must have already completed one or more terms of funeral service study; or mortuary science education. This will rule out many students, but this is done to weed out those who aren’t serious about this type of business and will be applying to just get the money and then run in a different direction. After all, it’s not for everyone.

Students must also be US citizens.

Why go into the funeral business?

The Funeral business is good for those considering it. In fact; the national averages state that there are more jobs open then there are certified funeral directors to accept them.

Normally people go into this type of business when they’ve been exposed to this work either through family; or other personal experience. It’s not exactly something you read about in a book and decide you’d like to go into it, like being a teacher or a lawyer.

Many Funeral directors spend most of their time working directly with families, rather then working on preparation of bodies. This may come as a surprise to many, but is true. Funeral service is a human service business.

Why the ABFSE scholarships are Unclaimed

This is why the ABFSE funeral scholarships may be a very good unclaimed scholarship, and one that very few will apply for. This fits one of our descriptions for unclaimed college scholarships – where the applicants are far and few between making these awards very attainable for the few that apply for them.

Easy to Apply Unclaimed Scholarships from Community Foundations

Unclaimed scholarships are those easy to apply scholarships that come along unexpectedly; in which you apply to them and are awarded very quickly.

Easy to Apply Unclaimed Scholarships from Community Foundations
Easy to Apply Unclaimed Scholarships from Community Foundations

Many times unclaimed scholarships are those easy to apply scholarships that come along unexpectedly; mostly by stumbling upon them, in which you apply to them and are awarded very quickly.

You may know right off that you qualify enough to apply for them by quickly glancing at the qualifying guidelines and intuitively feel that you can win.

Many times students don’t apply because they feel it may be too difficult to win.

*Bingo – unclaimed scholarship!

If you feel that way then everyone else does. You may get mediocre candidates applying to them and then they go on to win those seemingly hard awards.

All along it could have easily been you who should have won – if you had only applied!

Finding the time to apply is key because most educational awards do take time filling out their applications; and there are so many hours in the day if you work and attend school presently.

Community Foundations offer Easy to Apply Unclaimed Scholarships!

An exciting new unclaimed scholarship opportunity was discovered by our staff that may give applicants more of a chance at winning awards because they may be under the radar.

Less students apply to them because of this, which in turn dramatically increases your odds for winning.

These easier scholarships; unclaimed by those who should actually apply for them and win (but don’t because they don’t know about them), are offered through lessor known about Foundations.

One in particular is the Winston-Salem Foundation. It’s a 94 year-old community foundation encompassing 1,300 funds. These funds were created by many charitable individuals and organizations which serve the purpose of improving the quality of life in a particular area; or even beyond that in other areas too.

Their mission is to invest in their community by making philanthropy & its benefits available to all. They go about this by:

  • Assisting individuals & organizations with their charitable giving
  • Making grants to nonprofit organizations
  • Providing financial aid to college students
  • Offering community leadership on many local issues

One such way that they help designated areas is by providing scholarships to college students! In 2013 the Winston-Salem Foundation had assets of 359 million and provided 576 students with about 1 million in scholarships – that’s $1700 each in easy scholarships!

I’m sure, since it is a Foundation which has a purpose of helping people, has a more liberal scholarship criteria then the norm would, making applying easier, and awards given out even more simpler to attain.

In fact, the Winston-Salem Foundation is the 45th largest community foundation in the US, so there are many other Foundations for students out there to target for student financial aid.

One way to search for them is by state – IE….’Michigan community foundations’. This will keep you busy to see how many unclaimed scholarships you can find to apply to at these various Michigan foundations, or other states you search for.

You can do this for the state you presently reside in. The Winston-Salem Foundation focuses on the quality of life in Forsyth County, so you may want to narrow your search to Foundations in specific counties.

I’m sure the competition for these awards will be a whole lot thinner then other well known scholarships in which thousands of applicants apply to every year.

You may even run across other scholarship opportunities from community based organizations which have yearly educational scholarship awards in which you can also apply to. The applicant pool should also be thin here as well, increasing you odds at winning one.

Applying to Foundation scholarships are usually not as rigid as applying to your standard scholarships. Writing a good essay could be the key which hits on all the points they are looking for could easily land you some unclaimed college scholarship money.

You may be the perfect candidate according to the Foundations criteria; but if you can’t write about it well, then you may not be considered as a winner – so make sure it’s a nice read!

Unclaimed scholarships from community Foundations may be the best type of unclaimed scholarships going right now, so get your easy college scholarships by searching for them and applying to their educational philanthropy scholarships, and their benefits available to all!

Unclaimed Scholarships from many Colleges

Unclaimed scholarships for college are found at many colleges today, but you may have to apply to the colleges first to see them and apply later then normal too.

Unclaimed Scholarships for College
Unclaimed Scholarships for College

Unclaimed scholarships for college are found at many college’s today, but you may have to apply to the colleges first to see them; and apply later then normal too.

Thats when the magic happens – after you apply and get to see your financial award letter.

These are the easy scholarships for college!

You sit back after you submit your online application and FAFSA to colleges you’re intersted in and wait for the colleges to work up your award letter.

Certain unclaimed scholarships for college are those financial awards you really don’t know about until after you have submited your application. They are given away to those who fall into a certain qualifying standard which colleges establish for themselves and can even change during the year so as to include more students for various reasons – which are usually based on low enrollment.

Remember; colleges need student enrollment to survive, and keep yearly federal student financial aid coming in from the government. So when enrollment is down they go into survival mode; which means they lower the qualifying gates to entice more students to attend.

They do this by lowering qualifying GPA’s for scholarships, grants and ACT scores. They may even create programs such as Opportunity Grants (which may mean someone with a 20 or below ACT and/or 2.00 GPA’s.

In other words they are allowing students in who previously didn’t qualify; and awarding them great financial aid packages!

This is all good as far as we are concerned on this website because our motto is that all higher education should be fully subsidized for any student who wants to attend college in order to better themselves in life.

When people do graduate form college, they enrich everyone around them, including themselves, and this tranlates into a better world for all of us.

Now; how do I know this?

I’m speaking from recent experience here. Let me give you a personal example of how it worked for me.

It just so happens that my twin children applied to a few colleges; and one with a 3.95 GPA, and a 28 ACT score got a financial aid award equal to my other child who had a 2.94 GPA and 20 ACT.

Now I might add that the 20 ACT score child applied to many colleges to find that; but he was persistant. We both tried to find colleges with falling enrollment over the last two years.

He also applied to colleges longer (into July) – which is the time that many falling enrollment universities start to lower their qualifying standards. This is the time they start to panic and will put every student just about in one way or another with all kinds of newly formed grants, scholarships and financial aid awards.

The alternative for them is possible extinction simply because operating cost can sink any ship – even colleges if there’s no captain on board overseeing their financials.

Remember colleges are a business, and students are the product that produce their revenue to sustain them. In fact these procedures are most likely already in place; which is why the 20 ACT got the same as the 28 ACT in the story above.

It might have taken longer to get, but this is how unclaimed scholarships can be gotten.

If students aren’t picky about where to attend college, then the above can happen to just about anyone.

Apply to universities and colleges with falling enrollments, and later might be better then sooner.

Unclaimed scholarships = easy scholarships.

This is how I accidentally ran across, and got unclaimed college scholarships with my two darlings – and you can too!

What a pleasant surprise!

Eastern Michigan Unclaimed Scholarships may be the Easiest
Eastern Michigan Unclaimed Scholarships may be the Easiest

When it comes to unclaimed college scholarships, Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti MI, may be tops on the list for students looking for easy scholarships at this time.

Why?

This university is looking to increase declining enrollment; which is a common problem nowadays with most colleges as competition heats up for students looking for the best financial aid for themselves, and who want to have as little student loan debt as possible upon graduating.

This is a recipe for easy scholarships for college; in the form of unclaimed college scholarships!

If a student applies here, they may be pleasantly surprised at what their financial aid letter is giving them. The only way to find out what yours will be is to apply and find out for yourself.

Every year Eastern Michigan gives out scholarships in millions of dollars to students who are either needy financially or those who have performed well above expectations. It is always a good thing to encourage exemplary performance by rewarding the students who have outdone themselves accordingly.

Founded in 1849, Eastern Michigan University (EMU) is located in Ypsilanti Michigan, just 35 miles from Detroit. The university holds more than 23,000 students annually and offers a variety of courses, from degree programs to honors programs.

The university is a very good choice for any student who would love to study in an environment that enables free thinking, and cultures the student to become a responsible member of the society when they graduate.

There are different types of scholarships that the school awards students every year, and all of them depend on different selection criteria. Scholarships are not only available for continuing students, but freshmen also are able to enjoy scholarships when they are enrolled into the school at the beginning of their studies.

Due to the fact that freshmen come from different schools that have different grading systems, the selection criteria for awarding scholarships have since been updated to cater for GPA, ACT and SAT result scores.

Therefore all the students who are coming to the school have a fair playing field when it comes to the selection criteria, and no one is locked out if they meet all the criteria required.

The exclusive awards are normally given to one student only. Such awards are highly competitive, and include the Presidential Scholarship award, which caters for full tuition, full room and boarding facilities. For you to be considered for this scholarship, you must have been registered for and competed in the Presidential Scholarship Competition (PSC).

Another exclusive scholarship award is Regents Gold Scholarship, which is also very competitive. In terms of the allocation, this scholarship award only caters for tuition, and to be eligible you must have been registered for and competed in the Presidential Scholarship Competition (PSC).

The Emerald Scholarship is not competitive, and students are automatically considered for this award once they have been registered or enrolled in the institution.

The award is normally variable, and lies between $1500 and $4500. Students who are applying for this scholarship must make sure that they are very good in as far as merit based selection is concerned because the selection procedure depends on your scores in the GPA, SAT and ACT tests.

The EMU Education First Opportunity Scholarship (EFOS) is also another exclusive scholarship that is awarded to students. There is no competition involved, and students are eligible for award once they are enrolled at the university.

The amount offered caters for full tuition after federal aid, state aid and any other EMU aid has been factored in. In order to be selected you must satisfactorily complete and submit the FAFSA, you have to be eligible for Pell Grant, be a resident of Michigan or Ohio and obtain a minimum GPA of 3.0or ACT of 20 points.

These are not the only awards available at the institution. Others include the National Scholars Program, which is also automatic, and provides up to $15,600.

It is important to note that this award normally pays only the difference between the out-of-state and the in-state tuition for the students that are qualified to apply.

However, in the event that you are from Michigan or Ohio, your fees are normally levied as in-state tuition so you are not eligible to receive this award. You must however attain a 2.75 GPA, SAT of 950 points and ACT of 20 points to be considered for successful award of the scholarship.

Come Home to Eastern (Come Home to Michigan Award) is also another award (clearly an unclaimed scholarship) that is normally given to students on automatic basis as long as they have been registered and enrolled at the institution. You will however need additional verification besides the predetermined qualification requirements in order to make sure that you are eligible for the $15,600 award.

As you can see, Eastern Michigan Scholarships and Grants are being offered in a generous fashion at this time from this public university.

See what your Unclaimed scholarships will be!

Look into applying here because this college is being aggressive in attracting incoming students with their unclaimed scholarships and grants and financial aid.

Students may find that Eastern Michigan scholarships may be the easiest scholarships they ever will get!

All you have to do is just apply to see where you stand on receiving one of their unclaimed college scholarships.

The scholarships are also awarded to students based on a GPA points scale, and you must at least attain a 3.00 GPA and 19 ACT to be considered for most of their awards.

Beside that, there are criteria that are set by the school which students must meet in the event that they want to be awarded renewable scholarships. Such are scholarships that are renewed every other academic year.

For more information or clarification students are normally encouraged to get in touch with the financial aid office so that they can get up to date information on how to proceed.

In order to be awarded this scholarship, you have to meet the criterion that is set by the Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees Distinguished Scholarship has an annual value of $8000, and it is renewable every other year. This scholarship is awarded on merit, apart from which you must attain a 3.80 GPA and 28 ACT in order to be considered. You must also be a resident of Michigan.

This is not all there is to the financial aid that is offered to the students. The school offers grants based on the financial needs and this is normally from the information that they get from FAFSA. Two of the largest grant programs that are issued through the school to students are the Federal Pell Grant and the Ohio College Opportunity Grant.

Federal Pell Grant is available to all undergraduates who are eligible and is offered based on the level of financial need of the applicant. Awards can be anywhere from $602 to $5730, and they are normally awarded based on the credit hours enrolled.

Ohio residents who are enrolled in the school will also be able to enjoy the Ohio College Opportunity Grant which is normally prorated and is awarded either on full time or on part-time student enrollment in the institution.

The school will however, also make available other federal grant programs; The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) and the TEACH Grant. Students must take note of the fact that the grants are normally accepted automatically, and if you wish to decline the grants, you can get in touch with the Student Financial Aid Office for due procedure.

The university also makes available loans for students. Once your expenses have been taken care of through grants and scholarships, the remaining balance will be taken care of through loans that are issued to those who apply for them. Take note that while the scholarships, grants and other types of financial aid are not to be paid back, loans must always be paid back.

UA also offers federal work-study programs for their students. This is a program that is funded by the federal government and is campus based. The aim is to provide the students with part time jobs so that they are able to meet their financial needs. The jobs are normally available both off and on campus, and most of them pay minimum wages at least. However there are some others that pay higher than the average student earnings in the work-study program.

Student loans may be necessary along with your Davenport scholarships, so….

Do not hesitate to apply for student loans because almost anyone who is eligible usually qualifies for the funding, so do not be left out if you need it. Once you have applied, you should also find out information on how you will receive the financial aid, and most importantly how it will be used to pay for your education, what it covers and what it does not cover.

In the event that you encounter any challenges, do not suffer in silence as there is enough support available for you from counselors appointed by the institution.

Davenport University has a great sponsorship program for students who need support in financing their education. Having been in operation since 1886, the university has been one of the best institutions in the country offering students quality education facilities and shaping the lives of the students accordingly. The cost of education is not always affordable for all students, especially since people come from different backgrounds. However, lack of funds does not mean that a student should be locked out of quality education.

Before you apply for any of the unclaimed scholarships on offer at the institution you need to understand what they are supposed to be used for, and when they will be disbursed. This is important to help you in planning for how and when to use the funds if they will be available to you.

The easy scholarships at Davenport University are usually disbursed after the federal and state aid has been disbursed. Such DU scholarships include funding for books, tuition and fees.

Scholarships Unclaimed from Spring Arbor

After high school becoming a Spring Arbor Cougar may be something to look into because of their unclaimed college scholarships.

If you do not believe that you can go to Spring Arbor University located in Michigan because you may not financially be able to afford the education, then investigate the Spring Arbor University financial aid opportunities open to incoming students.

Spring Arbor is different from a lot of universities because they are a Christian university that relies on the fact that they are the meeting center for faith in God and the education you need to survive in the world of man.

This university was established more than one hundred forty years ago and has educational locations located in Michigan and in Ohio.

There are several unique scholarship and financial aid programs open to new students at Spring Arbor University. One of the easier scholarships available is the National Merit scholarship that can cover as much as sixty percent of the standard tuition costs.

Yes – 60%!

To be eligible for this scholarship you will need to enroll at Spring Arbor University as a full-time student. You also have to enroll at the university the same year that you graduate from high school. That means you will graduate in early summer from high school and enroll to begin taking classes at the university in the fall of the same year. You must maintain a 3.5 grade point average. You can apply for this scholarship by submitting confirmation to the national Merit Semifinalist status.

The Trustee Scholarship will provide twelve thousand dollars a year to eligible applicants for a period of not more than four consecutive years. You do not have to make a separate application to be considered for this easy to apply scholarship. Your enrollment paperwork will be used as a determining application. You will be required to maintain a 3.5 grade point average to maintain the scholarship qualification status.

The Presidential scholarship to Spring Arbor does not require the student entering the college to fill out any additional applications to be considered for the award. The scholarship can provide as much as ten thousand dollars per year for a period of four consecutive years. You will be required to maintain a 3.5 grade point average to keep the scholarship and be able to renew it each year.

The scholarships will look at the points you have accumulated according to the eligibility table for freshmen entering the university. To determine how many points you have you have to consider your grade point average that you had in high school. A 3.50 to a 4.0 grade point average will earn four points on the eligibility table. 3.30 to 3.49 grade point averages are given three points. 3.20 to 3.29 grade point averages are given two points. 3.0 to 3.19 grade point averages are scored with one point.

Then you consider the points you earned on the eligibility chart for where you were ranked in your high school graduating class. If you were in the top ten percent of your class you will be awarded four points. A student that was in the eleven to twenty percent of their class will be given three points. If you were ranked in the twenty first to the thirtieth percent of your class you will get two points.

Finally the ACT score you received will determine the rest of the points you have. If you score between twenty nine and thirty six on the ACT you will receive five points on the eligibility table. An ACT score of twenty five to twenty eight will get you four points. A score of twenty three to twenty four will get you three points. A score of twenty one to twenty two will get you two points. A score of twenty will get you one point.

Some scholarships require you to have an eligibility point score of twelve or higher to be qualified to apply.

Here’ the best part about Spring Arbor Scholarships. If you have to take out student loans during your time at Spring Arbor and when students graduate with them, they will be forgiven if the student cannot find work. Sounds to good to be true but it is. I would suggest that all students interested in attending SA contact the admissions office to discuss this program further in detail.

Spring Arbor is a Christian school so this may be the reason behind this unbelievable student loan forgiveness program.

What an unclaimed college scholarship!!!

Unclaimed college scholarships can be easy and come in all shapes and sizes and are beautifully disguised like this one!!

Unclaimed College Scholarships for Low Income Students

Many times at some colleges and university unclaimed scholarships come disguised in many college financial aids office under low income student aid.

unclaimed college scholarships
Scholarships for Low Income Students

Many times at some colleges and universities, unclaimed scholarships come disguised in many college financial aids office’s under low income student aid.

All students should check these programs at any college because sometimes they are hidden away in the financial aids section of their websites and these are the gems of unclaimed college scholarships given to incoming freshmen.

Many colleges are starting to expand their guidelines to include more students simply because it’s getting more and more competitive to land students to their campuses. For example they may offer special grants for students that fit into a moderately lower parent income bracket coupled with a decent academic record.

Can you say Unclaimed College Scholarships?

Notice I said decent academic record.

Yes, that’s right!

It doesn’t have to be golden any more, like high ACT scores and GPA. Many colleges are getting around this by allowing students to have a “decent GPA and Act’s” along with past community service – which most students are required to get in high school to graduate nowadays.

Competition among-st colleges is fierce for incoming students and the end result is lots of unclaimed scholarships disguised as university school grants and low income student financial student aid.

Well; the easiest way to do this that I personally have done many times is to call the financial aids office and ask if they have lower income programs and what their URL is to read more about them. At that time ask about them on the phone. Have a pad and pencil ready because you will get answers to that question immediately. How do you go about finding out about these unknown scholarships especially when college websites have these invisible programs buried three layers deep decorated in financial aid lingo?

“Sometimes unclaimed scholarships are the easiest scholarships to find – just make the call to the Fin Aids office!”

Top Unclaimed Scholarship from MSU – Spartan Advantage Program

Here’s an example of a lower income program from Michigan State University. It’s called the Spartan Advantage Program. It’s for students in Michigan only and reserved for those who are what MSU considers the neediest students.

To see if you qualify you must fill out the FAFSA and send it to MSU. Students must also be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant and enrolled full time in a program in which you will receive an undergraduate degree at MSU. This program is for those with income that is below the federally established poverty guidelines.

A work study will be assigned to students which helps pay for this program, but it will be the best job you probably will ever work from past students who have participated in the Spartan Advantage Program – “Work study jobs are fun at MSU”.

You may be thinking that you won’t fit into this program, but MSU has a second tier program to this one where you may fit that the guidelines are easier to qualify for. This second tier program will grant you $7,100 from MSU along with the Pell grant of $5,600 which will give you $12,700 in free money to use to attend MSU.

WOW!!! – Do you love this as much as I do?

What an unclaimed college scholarship to a major university!

You don’t have to pay any of it back either. You may have to get a small student loan if at all to help pay incidentals; but work study may pay for the rest.

This is one of MANY programs designed for lower income students and those who fall outside of the normal lower income student aid programs which many colleges across the country have in order to persuade students to come to their campuses and learn.

Inquire at the Fin Aids office of any college or university to discover them and don’t be shy when you ask about them either, because easy scholarships for low income students are gotten for those who ask about them!

Understanding what Unclaimed Scholarships Are

There are many definitions of what unclaimed scholarships are, and there really is no one answer that is correct. Unclaimed scholarship monies are unused student aid.

what are unclaimed scholarships
Definition of Unclaimed Scholarships

There are many definitions of what unclaimed scholarships are, and there really is no one answer that is correct. This is because unclaimed scholarship monies come from many sources and there are many ways of finding it, so you will have a variety of meanings for it. Bottom line is it all does exist based on what your definition of it is and it is monies not found and used yet for college.

If you look at just what the word ‘unclaimed’ means you will see it’s an adjective only; and that the definition for unclaimed is:  ‘unknown, usually by choice’. This could indicate for example that a student won a scholarship and they decide not to claim it.

If you look at the Antonyms for unclaimed they are: discovered, identified, known, named. This could mean that a who student wins a scholarship, is identified and known who it is; and is named publicly.

The Synonyms for the word ‘unclaimed’ are many such as : incognito, undisclosed, innominate, nameless, unnamed, pseudo, pseudonymous, secret, so and so, such and such, unacknowledged, unattested, unavowed, unclaimed , uncredited, undesignated, unidentified, unsigned, unspecified, what’s his/her name, whatchamacallit, you know who…. you get the point!

Some people or students seem to think that just because a scholarship is not claimed than anyone can lay claim to it very quick and easily as their own if they discover it. Well, this seems too easy and unrealistic to say the lest. I guess if the student applies to it and qualifies for it then they can easily win it. But to just to try to fill the vacuum of the student who doesn’t claim it without qualifying for it would be wishful thinking and actually trying to get something for nothing. But there are some students who think this way.

A basic and safe way to describe unclaimed scholarships may be just that it’s monies for college that has not been given away or awarded yet, and that you can apply for it once you discover it – period!  The unclaimed monies are sitting their waiting to be awarded to the right student who fits what the scholarship sponsor is looking for and they will not award it until they have a perfect match for it! This means you still have a chance of getting it if it hasn’t been assigned or awarded at that time.

It’s UNCLAIMED as of yet.

If you have a better definition of unclaimed scholarships, or you actually know of some unclaimed college scholarship monies please leave your written comment in the comment section at the end of this page.

If you do –  we will respond to you on where you can find more unclaimed scholarship monies!

They are easy scholarships guaranteed to pay your tuition if you fit their criteria. You fill out the required paperwork and you will get the monies to help pay your college cost. It seems simple and it really is because fortunately for many this is how it works. It can work for you this way and that’s why it’s worth the time looking into automatic scholarships for college.

Prospective college students may be quite surprised to learn that a number of colleges provide automatic scholarships to those students who receive high scores on the SAT. These easy scholarships are not based on financial need and students are not required to complete special applications. They simply need to apply, score well on the SAT and they will receive an automatic scholarship. One of the keys to receiving such an easy guaranteed scholarship is applying early, at least by September of the student’s senior year in high school. Furthermore, they must score well on the SAT, but the minimum scores do vary from one school to another. This is precisely why many experts recommend taking the SAT at least four times.

One such university offering automatic scholarships for outstanding SAT scores is Berea College in Kentucky. This college is classified as a ‘work college.’ This means students do not pay tuition to attend school there. Instead, they pay for college through a work exchange. All students are required to have a job on-campus and work a minimum of ten hours per week. Students are paid for their work; however, a portion of their pay goes toward their college tuition. Admission to the school is highly competitive. College work-study is a great way to attend college and pay for it all at the same time. We high endorse them.

Guaranteed tuition is also offered to students accepted into Kentucky’s Alice Lloyd College. Students are also required to work 10-20 hours per week at the school. The college offers a guaranteed tuition policy for students who reside in one of the 108 central Appalachian counties. The cost to attend the school is met through a combination of scholarships, grants and the Student Work Program.

The Curtis Institute of Music also provides full-tuition scholarships to all students who are admitted. The school is highly competitive and only 160 new students are admitted each year.

Students who are interested in a full-tuition scholarship as well as a guaranteed employment position upon graduation may wish to apply to CUNY Teach Academy. The City University of New York provides full scholarships to students enrolled in the Teacher Academy. All students who enroll are eligible. In addition, graduating students will receive a full-time teaching position in school in NYC.

Easy automatic scholarships guaranteed in Indiana

Indiana University also offers automatic scholarships. Unlike other automatic scholarships at many others schools, the guaranteed scholarships offered at Indiana University are based only on the Math and English sections of the SAT. The writing section of the SAT is not considered when determining automatic scholarship eligibility at Indiana University. The IU Excellence scholarship is worth a total of $36,000 per year spread out over four years. The easy scholarship is awarded to residents of Indiana who have a minimum SAT score of 1330 or ACT score of 30 and a minimum GPA of 3.80.

The IU Distinction scholarship is also worth a total of $36,000 over four years and is awarded to out-of-state students (including international students) who have a minimum Act score of 30 or SAT score of 1330 and a minimum GPA of 3.80.

The IU Prestige scholarship is $5,000 per year for four years and is awarded to residents of Indiana or out-of-state students who have a minimum SAT score of 1260 or ACT score of 28 and a minimum GPA of 3.80.

The IU Recognition scholarship is $2,000 per year over four years and is automatically awarded to residents or out-of-state students who have a minimum SAT score of 1170 or ACT score of 26 and a minimum GPA of 3.70.

Purdue University, also in Indiana, has recently become well-known for offering automatic scholarships guaranteed easy to apply to. Purdue does take all three sections of the SAT into consideration for automatic scholarship eligibility. Purdue offers $20,000 automatic scholarships over four years for a minimum SAT score of 1850. All application materials must be postmarked by November 15th to be considered for an automatic scholarship at Purdue.

Mensa Scholarships are Easy to Apply For

Mensa scholarships are easy to apply for because anyone can apply for them and you don’t have to be a Mensa member to apply to them, with exception to one award.

Mensa Scholarships

Mensa scholarships are easy to apply for because anyone can apply for them and you don’t have to be a Mensa member to apply to them, with exception to one Mensa scholarship – the Mensa Member Award Program. Even though they are an easy scholarship to apply to; the simple part of this scholarship may end there. When you have Mensa members with a super IQ submitting their applications you could find some very stiff competition for this scholarship – or maybe not. It’s hard to say actually because just because students have high IQ’s doesn’t mean they can run the world perfectly if asked to do so. In fact many intelligent individuals cannot write very good essays when asked to do so, and the Mensa scholarships ask for this when submitting applications.

Bottom line is – apply if you fit the criteria and you’re a good writer then you may have a chance to win a Mensa scholarship (essays are required for all Mensa scholarships). These awards are worth trying to win. If you win one then this one award can carry you on to land a job quickly once when you are graduated and in the job market. This will separate you from the crowd and many companies only hire these types of applicants (unique and award specific).

Mensa scholarships are sponsored by the Mensa Education & Research Foundation. These scholarships are completely based on essays which are composed by applications. Unlike many other scholarships, consideration for these awards is not based on academic program, grades or financial need.

Mensa is considered to be the oldest and largest high-IQ society throughout the world. This non-profit organization offers membership to individuals who score at least at the 98th percentile on a standardized intelligence test. Mensa was originally founded by a British lawyer and scientist, Dr. Lancelot Ware, and Roland Berrill, an Australian lawyer in 1946. The two men had the idea of establishing a society specifically for people of very high intelligence, with the only qualification for membership in the society being a high IQ. One of the goals of the organization was to be free from any type of social distinction, including religious views, race, etc. The name of the society is taken from two Latin words to mean a type of round-table society of minds. In addition, Mensa was also established to be completely free from any political points of view. The second major branch of the society was the American Mensa branch.

The Mensa Educational & Research Foundation is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in a variety of areas of intelligence. The strategic focus and mission of the foundation are primarily directed at education, awards and scholarships. The Mensa Foundation publishes a minimum of three issues of the Mensa Research Journal annually. Approximately $60,000 is awarded through Mensa’s scholarship program. The program is administered by some 400 volunteers from across the country. Awards presented recognize research, practical achievement and education in creativity and intelligence. In addition, the Foundation sponsors educational activities that include a podcast series known as Conversations with Mensa. The Foundation also sponsors projects for gifted children, including the Mesa for Kids website. Mensa was founded in 1971 in order to pursue excellence in the use and study of intelligence.

The application process for Mesa scholarships begins September 15th and closes on January 15th. Applicants who are considering applying for scholarship program should understand the United States program is quite extensive and covers approximately 75% of the nation. Applicants for the scholarship program are not required to be members of Mensa; however, members of the organization are encouraged to apply for a separate scholarship program; the Mensa Member Award Program. The Foundation also sponsors the international scholarship program. This program is open to Mensa members from other countries as well as their dependents if they are attending college in the U.S. To qualify for this scholarship program, applicants should be age 25 or younger.

A number of $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually by Mensa. The Copper Black Award is issued to any Mensa member for specific creative achievement that has practical value. The award may also be issued for any innovation that has actually been implemented, in part or whole.

The Distinguished Teacher Award is given to recognize a professor, teacher or instructor on any educational level who has had a positive influence on education as a whole or a member of Mensa.

The Awards for Excellence in Research are given on an international basis for outstanding research on intellectual giftedness, intelligence or any other related field.

The Intellectual Benefits Award was established to recognize the application of the intellectual abilities of a member of Mensa that have resulted in a benefit to society that is tangible.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented annually for recognition of contributions over a lifetime to the field of intelligence as well as related subjects. This award is given alternately between U.S. and international nominees annually.

The Mensa Press Award is given to recognize excellence in writing regarding human giftedness and intelligence in media that is specifically designed for lay audiences.

Mensa also underwrites a variety of programs that were established to support gifted youth. Such projects include the Young Mensans’ groups.

Apply to the Mensa scholarships if you fit the criteria (a good essay writer) because they may be easier scholarships to win then you think!
